In Norway, the biodiesel market is being explored upon by a newsprint and magazine producer, Norske Skog. Norske Skog partnered with Choren Industries GmbH to push the plan through. The latter is engaged in gasification technology and has full-scale biodiesel factories in the country.

The plan is to convert wood biomass into biodiesel. This business opportunity is actually being studied by Norske Skog for two years now. And now, they are ready to make the plan happen. Norske Skog formed a subsidiary, the Xynergo to handle the company’s biodiesel division. Norske Skog owns 70% of that company while forest owners hold the remainder. The goal is to create biodiesel out of the woody biomass currently used as a feedstock. The production of Norske Skog is slated to start in April of the next year.

Norway is one of the world market leaders when it comes to pulp and paper production. Now, they are maximizing the use of their natural resources to further help the nation. This time, they are into producing fuel for vehicles out of the same materials used in making paper. Soon enough, they would be less dependent on imported oil just like other countries that have jumpstarted the production and integration of biodiesel in local fuel stations.

General Motor’s new car, the Chevrolet Volt is officially unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit last Sunday. Being previously accused as the company that killed electric cars, GM got back at their critics with the Chevrolet Volt Sedan, which can run on both batteries and fuel. What’s more, its engine is built around biodiesel gas and not imported fuel.

This makes the Volt as the latest addition to the potent collection of today’s biodiesel cars. Biodiesel gas, which is mockingly referred to as the frying pan fuel, is currently making raves today as the cheapest and most environment-friendly car fuel. It is even possible to make such a fuel out of your own home – all you really need is a good electric heater and the necessary compounds, of course.

However, the Volt is more of an electric car than anything else. The biodiesel fuel loaded to it is normally used as back up. General Motors say that the Volt can run on 40 miles on a full battery charge. Essentially, its battery cells can answer the daily mileage requirements of everyday car uses. Its biodiesel gas, on the other hand, can answer for the long ride requirements and for the usual mistake of forgetting to charge the car.

Biodiesel Fact 1

With today’s rising gas prices, more and more individuals are looking for most cost effective ways to manage their fuel costs. One way in which they are going about this is through the use of manufacturing their own biodiesel. Biodiesel has readily become one of the fastest growing types of fuel in recent years. Not only is it becoming a more cost efficient way to operate any type of machinery, but it has also proven itself to be a lot more environmental safe than traditional gas or fuel.

Biodiesel is made from animal fat and vegetable oil. It is a non petroleum based fuel. Because of this, it is more environmentally friendly than other fuel. It can either be used on it’s own or it can be blended with other products as well. By blending all these products together, the manufacture of the biodiesel can insure that their fuel is environmentally friendly and safe.

With enough supplies and materials anyone can manufacture their own biodiesel. But with any product this type of fuel has it’s good points and it’s bad points. The good points would be the lower cost for you in running this type of fuel and the fact that this type of fuel is easier on the environment than rational gas and fuel. The downside to operating this type of fuel is that sometimes it can create additional wear and tear to ones vehicle.

But aside from this small disadvantage, biodiesel is becoming one of the fastest growing types of fuel in this county. With it’s cost efficiency and it’s overall safeness, many more car owners are shifting towards this type of fuel. And it’s popularity will no doubt continue to grow as gas prices continue to soar.

The term biodiesel has been used a lot lately in the news due to increased prices in gas. This type of fuel is a cheaper alternative to rising fuel prices that countries are facing these days. Biodiesel is a non petroleum based diesel fuel which is made primarily with vegetable oil or animal fat. Or it can be combined with other products to obtain a suitable consistency that is right for your vehicle.

Biodesel can be used separately as an alternative to gas or can be blended with other products. There are a lot of benefits to a person using this type of fuel, but there are some disadvantages as well. The main advantage of using this product would be the cost efficiency, but the main disadvantage would be that some of these blends tend to be a little hard on certain car parts. Especially in cars manufactured before the year 1992. But the argument to this is that these certain parts would have worn out anyway.

So if your looking for a cheap alternative to the high rising gas prices in today’s world, then maybe you can check into make some biodiesel for yourself. With tons of information on the Internet regarding biodiesel and biodiesel fuel, you can find out how to make your own fuel. Then when the high cost of gas gets too out of hand, you will have comfort in the knowledge that you created your own fuel at a fraction of the cost that it would cost you at the pumps.

An option many consumers are interested in is biodiesel power. This is a type of alternative power that means you won’t be relying upon gasoline in order to power your vehicle. It may sound crazy but this process involves using vegetable oil to keep your vehicle running.

The problem though is that the use of biodiesel isn’t standard in the United States. So getting you hands on what you need at times can prove to be difficult. Yet many consumers say they don’t have any problems with their vehicles using this type of alternative fuel. It keeps the insides of it well lubricated and the oil stays clean.

There are starting to be more places though where you can get bio-diesel fuel at the pumps though. This is exciting for those who manufacture such vehicles as well as those consumers interested in buying them. It is sold for a price that is significantly lower than standard fuel as well.

Other consumers with biodiesel vehicles are content to place fresh vegetable oil into their vehicles. Some people have been known to also use the used vegetable oil from restaurants without experiencing any problems. This is a very creative way to stop being robbed blind at the gas station.

Of course that used vegetable oil can’t be dumped directly into your vehicle in such a condition. Instead it has to be processed to remove pieces of food, various debris, and glycerin found in such forms of used vegetable oil. Failure to remove them will prevent your vehicle from operating like it should.

The fact that the use of biodiesel fuel also results in less emissions into the air is important as well. Not only will you save money on fuel but you will be doing your part to protect the environment as well. Many people are buying conversion kits so they can start using bio-diesel and stop buying gasoline. This type of conversion can only be completed accurately if you have a diesel vehicle.
